Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort &amp; Spa, member of Marriott International, is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, and ambitious professional F&amp;B Cost Controller.&nbsp;About ParklaneParklane is the only internationally branded luxury beach resort in Cyprus, featuring 222 rooms, 34 suites and 18 villas, the award-winning Kalloni Spa and international branded restaurants such as Nammos Limassol and LPM Restaurant &amp; Bar. The company owns the Park Tower, a completed 20-apartment luxury residential tower integrated within the resort’s premises. Parklane is part of MHV Mediterranean Hospitality Venture, a leading hospitality and real estate group with a portfolio consisting of luxury hotels &amp; resorts and state-of-the-art developments both in Cyprus and abroad.&nbsp;DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Maintains cost records as outlined in the Cost Control Policies &amp; Procedures.</li><li>Carries out daily random samples of receiving reports and Purchase Orders investigating quantity and price differences and reports unresolved discrepancies to the Cost Controller</li><li>Updates and distributes purchase price comparisons and sales statistics as required noting any cost variations or non-compliance with supplier purchasing procedures.</li><li>Utilizing Micros Materials control completes and distributes cost and sales potential reports as requested by Management and as outlined in the Cost Control Manual</li><li>Co-ordinates, assists and performs monthly inventory takings &amp; periodic stocktaking of Operating equipment &amp; other stores items as he feels necessary or as recommended by the DOF</li><li>Is responsible for co-coordinating &amp; producing the monthly Accruals report.</li><li>Provides timely month-end accounting information with pertinent observations to enable completion of month-end financial reports.</li><li>Carries out ongoing &amp; Month End review of all hotel Cost Centers reporting on any cost exceeding Budget &amp; recommending DOF on necessary controls or review of purchasing practices.</li><li>Controls the sequential numbering of the banqueting function sheets.</li><li>Verifies Banqueting covers the report from the Kitchen.</li><li>Reconciles function bills to function sheets and contracts.</li><li>Review’s function sheets for upcoming functions ensuring that contracts are in place, rates are correct, credit facilities are prepared where appropriate &amp; deposits received.&nbsp;</li><li>Controls officer’s checks ensuring all signed.&nbsp; Produces a daily summary for authorization by the DOF/General Manager and a monthly summary for posting into Sun.</li><li>Ensure that all rebates are justified, duly authorized.</li><li>To check that the selling prices in Micros F&amp;B are correct ensuring that only the Income Auditor has input selling prices &amp; new outlet sales items after authorization by the DOF/ General Manager</li><li>Ensure that all documents and reports are properly filed.</li><li>&nbsp;Ensure that she/he keeps his/her desk free of papers (properly filed) when they are not in the office.</li><li>Perform routine analysis on product mix/margin and guest preference information to help the operations staff understand the impact of their merchandising efforts on revenue.</li><li>Assist with inputting prices, menu changes and user changes in the point of sale (POS) system.</li><li>&nbsp;Input receipt of all food, beverage and non-food products into the inventory and into the recipe part of the purchasing system.</li><li>Investigate all measurement unit issues and noticeable price variances as required.</li><li>Update all inventory requisitions through the inventory and purchasing system.</li><li>Assist in the calculation of potential cost of sale ratios.</li><li>Maintain master cost files and recipes.</li><li>Perform random checks to verify all products are stored appropriately and secured</li><li>Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.</li><li>Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.</li><li>Protect company assets.</li><li>Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.</li><li>Speak with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.</li><li>Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.</li><li>Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.</li><li>Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.</li><li>Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or accounting&nbsp;or any other related field</li><li>&nbsp;At least 3 years’ experiences in the same role in a 4/5-star hospitality environment</li><li>Excellent Knowledge of English Language</li><li>Strong communication and organizational Skills</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Good analytics and reporting skills. Ability to compile facts and figures</li><li>Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)</li><li>Knowledge of Back office or accounting systems. Experience with POS Systems and cost inventory</li></ul>
