CyRIC - Cyprus Research and Innovation Center is seeking a motivated IoT Technician to join our growing CyRIC-IoT Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and field support of wireless networking and Internet of Things (IoT) systems, including gateways, sensors, and telemetry devices. The role involves supporting both commercial deployments and R&amp;D field trials, working closely with our engineering team and clients to ensure high-quality and timely execution of installations.&nbsp;This is a hands-on technical position ideal for candidates with a background in electrical systems, electronics, or automation—no software development experience is required.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Install, configure, and commission IoT devices such as sensors, gateways, and controllers at customer or project sites.</li><li>Assist in network setup and basic diagnostics of wireless technologies (e.g., LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi).</li><li>Conduct site surveys and prepare basic installation reports or documentation.</li><li>Provide technical support for hardware-related troubleshooting in the field and remotely.</li><li>Perform device testing, calibration, and validation before and after deployment.</li><li>Support inventory management and assist with packaging, labelling, and preparing devices for shipment or deployment.</li><li>Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients during the installation and maintenance phases.</li><li>Follow and uphold best practices and safety standards on all site installations.&nbsp;</li></ul>Required Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>Proven hands-on experience with hardware installations, wiring, or automation systems.</li><li>Basic understanding of IoT devices, sensors, and communication principles.</li><li>Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical installation instructions.</li><li>Good communication skills in Greek and English, both verbal and written.</li><li>Willingness to travel for field installations and on-site support.</li><li>Valid driver’s license.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications (Considered an Advantage)<ul><li>Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or other related technical fields.</li><li>Experience in low-voltage wiring, field deployments, or structured cabling.</li><li>Familiarity with wireless technologies (e.g., LoRa, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi) and antenna mounting.</li><li>Previous involvement in automation or telemetry system setups.</li><li>Basic familiarity with tools such as multimeters and testing equipment.</li><li>Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP addressing, device configuration).&nbsp;</li></ul>Reporting LineReports directly to the CyRIC-IoT Technical Division Manager, Commercial Department.
