The Company: Our client, Marks &amp; Spencer (M&amp;S) in&nbsp;Cyprus and Romania, is a&nbsp;multinational retailer known for its high-quality clothing, home products, and premium food ranges. On behalf of our Client, we are seeking for a Chief Financial&nbsp;Officer (CFO).&nbsp;The Position:A Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive who manages and oversees all financial aspects of an organization. This includes financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and financial reporting. CFOs play a critical role in strategic decision-making, ensuring the company's financial health, and aligning financial activities with overall business objectives&nbsp;Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Establishing Accounting policies for the Company in accordance with International Financial Reporting Accounting Standards (IFRS) in liaison with External Auditors.</li><li>Mentor and manage the finance and accounting teams, building capacity and ensuring succession planning, skill development, and high-performance culture.</li><li>Establishing measurable performance standards to evaluate the Finance Function processes.</li><li>Ensuring that Departmental procedures and instructions are established and maintained in compliance with regulatory, quality, safety and environmental standards.</li><li>Prepare Financial Reports for various stakeholders, including the Board, executive team, regulators, and external auditors.</li><li>Implement and review Internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.</li><li>Preparation and monitoring of the company budgets and reporting to the Board of Directors in accordance with their agreed requirements.</li><li>The administration of Payroll records and Provident Fund and ensuring employees are paid timely in accordance with contract of employment.</li><li>In close cooperation and after the approval of the Board of Directors/ overseeing negotiating and authorizing contracts with Banks</li><li>Review of cash flow planning for the company including hedging for currency exchange risks, etc.</li><li>Cash Flow Management – monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity, optimize working capital, manage relationships with Banks and lenders.</li><li>Reviewing capital project proposals as regards financial viability, commercial viability and cash flow feasibility, using the appropriate financial tools such as Internal Rates of Return (IRR), Discounted Cash Flows (DCF) and making recommendations to the Board of Directors.</li><li>Develop and lead the company's long-term financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and sustainable growth targets.</li><li>Oversee tax planning and compliance strategies to optimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.</li><li>Oversee the IT department’s processes and costings.</li></ul>&nbsp;Skills &amp; Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.MBA or Master’s in Finance preferred. Professional certifications like Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are highly valued.</li><li>16+ years in senior leadership, 10+ years in executive roles:&nbsp;retail, fashion, FMCG, or multi-site consumer-facing industries; international operations experience preferred.</li><li>Fluent English.
