Position Summary&nbsp;&nbsp;The primary purpose of this role is to establish and deliver a dynamic Russian language curriculum that fosters not just linguistic proficiency, but also a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Russian-speaking countries. The successful candidate will be key to promoting global literacy within our student body, equipping them with essential communication skills and a broader worldview necessary for success in a diverse, interconnected world.&nbsp;PLEASE APPLY <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://isl.bamboohr.com/careers/229?source=aWQ9Mjc%3D">HERE&nbsp;</a>&nbsp;General responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>To plan, teach and assess Russian language and literature (L&amp;L) classes;</li><li>Understand the age specifics, appropriate teaching and learning approaches and have appropriate expectations for students;</li><li>Plan, prepare and develop Russian L&amp;L curriculum and lesson planning;</li><li>Plan, prepare and assess student’s assignments (formative and summative);</li><li>Provide meaningful feedback to students, parents and school administration;</li><li>Create and maintain a safe environment in class;</li><li>Be willing to play an active part and collaborate with the Secondary team</li><li>Inspire and motivate students in the subject;</li><li>Plan, create unit plans, teaching materials and resources that are appropriate to IB standards;</li><li>Attend school meetings, trainings and collaborative planning;</li><li>Be prepared to offer some afternoon clubs in Russian or Russian culture in the primary or secondary school</li><li>Be familiar with and implement student-centered learning strategies, collaborative learning strategies, project-based learning;</li><li>Having an IB experience is an advantage.</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications:<ul><li>B.Sc/Master’s Degree in Russian Literature and Language</li><li>Teaching Qualification;</li><li>Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a mainstream school;</li><li>Teaching experience in IB would be an advantage;</li><li>Excellent class management skills;</li><li>Has fluent English level C1&nbsp;</li><li>Familiar with technology use in teaching and learning.</li><li>Understands how children learn and can support their learning.</li><li>Can create and improvise and has a desire to co-create a child-centred curriculum and bring it to life.</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits:&nbsp;<ul><li>A unique opportunity for a career in a fast-growing polysystemic school.</li><li>Competitive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.</li><li>Modern &amp; Professional Work Environment.</li><li>Optional participation in the Company’s Group Medical Scheme.</li><li>Opportunities to learn and develop yourself.</li></ul>&nbsp;Position Working Days/hours:&nbsp;Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00&nbsp;Recruitment process:<ul><li>Hiring team Panel interview (30 minutes).</li><li>Trial lesson (60 minutes).&nbsp;</li><li>Interview with the Head of School, Principal of Secondary and Head of Faculty (30 minutes).&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Safeguarding:&nbsp;At The Island Private School of Limassol, we follow safer recruitment practices and we are committed to the Safeguarding of our students.
