Position Summary&nbsp;&nbsp;We are seeking a passionate and experienced&nbsp;Mathematics Teacher&nbsp;to join our team and deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in MYP/DP Mathematics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, and contributing to the overall academic success of our school.&nbsp;PLEASE APPLY <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://isl.bamboohr.com/careers/230?source=aWQ9Mjc%3D">HERE</a>&nbsp;General responsibilities:<ul><li>Teach engaging lessons aligned with the MYP/DP Mathematics curriculum, focusing on the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the varied learning styles, strengths, and abilities of all students, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential.</li><li>Curriculum Planning: Design and implement detailed lesson plans that cater to the MYP/DP Mathematics framework, fostering a solid understanding of key mathematical concepts.</li><li>Assessment &amp; Evaluation: Develop, administer, and assess a variety of tasks and tests to monitor student progress, providing timely, constructive feedback to both students and parents.</li><li>Student Support: Offer additional support through extra lessons, one-on-one tutoring, and mentoring for students needing further assistance.</li><li>Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Mathematics Department and other subject teachers to create interdisciplinary units and projects that enhance student learning.</li><li>Extracurricular Involvement: Lead and support extracurricular activities such as math clubs and other events related to mathematics.</li><li>Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional learning to stay updated with the latest in math education, IB methodologies, and the integration of technology.</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field is a must.</li><li>A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, teaching credential) is preferred.</li><li>A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level, with familiarity in adapting lessons for diverse learning needs.</li><li>Proven experience in teaching MYP and DP Mathematics would be an advantage.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong knowledge of the IB MYP and DP curriculum and assessment strategies.</li><li>Ability to inspire and engage students, promoting a love of mathematics and fostering a positive learning environment.</li><li>Excellent organisational, communication, and classroom management skills.</li><li>Proficiency in using digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning.</li><li>Fluent English Language (C2).</li><li>Passionate about mathematics and dedicated to helping students achieve academic excellence.</li><li>Enthusiastic about tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of students and fostering a love of the subject.</li><li>Collaborative and flexible, with a willingness to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team.</li><li>Culturally sensitive, committed to creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment for all students.</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits:&nbsp;<ul><li>A unique opportunity for a career in a fast-growing polysystemic school.</li><li>Competitive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.</li><li>Referral program.</li><li>Modern &amp; Professional Work Environment.</li><li>Optional participation in the Company’s Group Medical Scheme.</li><li>Opportunities to learn and develop yourself.</li></ul>&nbsp;Working Days/hours:&nbsp;&nbsp;Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00&nbsp;Recruitment process:<ul><li>Hiring team Panel interview (30 minutes).</li><li>Trial lesson (60 minutes).&nbsp;</li><li>Interview with the Head of School, Secondary Principal and Faculty Leader (30 minutes).&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Safeguarding:&nbsp;At The Island Private School of Limassol, we follow safer recruitment practices and we are committed to the Safeguarding of our students.
