For our client, a real estate and construction company, we are looking for an Accountant, who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end reporting, managing accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role plays a key part in controlling costs and supporting financial operations across real estate developments and construction projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsibilities 1. Financial Accounting &amp; Bookkeeping<ul><li>Maintain accurate accounting records in line with company policies and IFRS requirements.</li><li>Post and reconcile journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.</li><li>Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and supported.</li></ul>2. Accounts Payable &amp; Supplier Management<ul><li>Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.</li><li>Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment discrepancies.</li><li>Coordinate with procurement and project teams regarding contract payments.</li></ul>3. Accounts Receivable &amp; Customer Billing<ul><li>Issue customer invoices for construction contracts, rental income, or project milestones.</li><li>Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue balances.</li><li>Maintain accurate customer account reconciliations.</li></ul>4. Bank &amp; Cash Reconciliations<ul><li>Perform regular bank reconciliations for all group accounts.</li><li>Monitor daily cash movements and support treasury reporting.</li><li>Assist in managing petty cash and site cash controls where applicable.</li></ul>5. Project Accounting Support (Construction &amp; Real Estate)<ul><li>Support project cost tracking, allocations, and budget monitoring.</li><li>Assist with cost-to-complete analysis and project margin reporting.</li><li>Ensure proper classification of project expenses and capital expenditures.</li></ul>6. Month-End &amp; Year-End Closing<ul><li>Assist with monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.</li><li>Support preparation of trial balances, general ledger reconciliations, and management accounts.</li><li>Assist external auditors with documentation and audit requirements.</li></ul>7. Tax &amp; Regulatory Compliance<ul><li>Support VAT filings, tax documentation, and statutory reporting requirements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal controls.</li></ul>8.
