The school’s inclusive, forward-thinking community ensures that every teacher has a voice and a role in the school’s development.&nbsp;If you're an educator who values collaboration, continuous growth, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life, Lighthouse is the place for you.&nbsp;Responsibilities:<ul><li>Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for lower secondary students.</li><li>Support students in developing strong scientific knowledge, inquiry skills, and understanding of chemical concepts and processes.</li><li>Design lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application of Chemistry.</li><li>Use a range of teaching strategies, including practical experiments and investigations, to support different learning styles and abilities.</li><li>Minimum experience 2–3 years teaching secondary school students within an international school setting.</li><li>Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and support to help students improve.</li><li>Differentiate instruction to support students with varying levels of scientific understanding.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to integrate chemistry-related and scientific thinking into interdisciplinary learning projects where appropriate.</li><li>Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, participation, and respect for scientific inquiry.</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and learning development.</li><li>Contribute to the wider spectrum of school activities, including clubs, projects, or enrichment activities related to Chemistry or STEM.</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements:<ul><li>Recognised degree by the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S.) in Chemistry, or other related scientific field. </li><li>Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).</li><li>Experience teaching Chemistry at the lower secondary or middle school level.</li><li>Strong understanding of scientific concepts and effective teaching strategies for this age group.</li><li>Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and support students with different learning needs.</li><li>Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.</li><li>Excellent fluency in spoken and written English.</li><li>Experience teaching within international schools.</li><li>Familiarity with Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics or similar curricula.</li><li>Experience integrating problem-based or inquiry-based learning approaches.</li><li>Experience supporting non-native English-speaking students.</li><li>Highly proficient in digital literacy and familiarity with Google Workspace Tools.</li></ul>&nbsp;Dare to teach differently?
