About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on IT Specialist to own and maintain the technology infrastructure of our hotel. You will be the go-to person for everything from network reliability and cybersecurity to point-of-sale systems and guest-facing technology. This is a varied, practical role where no two days are the same.&nbsp;RequirementsExperience•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;2 years of professional experience in an IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure role&nbsp;preferred.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prior experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus but not required.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Demonstrable personal interest in technology — side projects, home labs, certifications, open-source contributions, or similar evidence of genuine curiosity will strengthen your application.Preferred Skills•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Solid working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, and routing.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience configuring and troubleshooting managed switches, routers, and wireless access points.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Practical knowledge of firewalls, ACLs, and network segmentation.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience with access control systems, user permissions, and role-based access.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Familiarity with audit logging, intrusion detection/prevention, and endpoint protection.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and IP device monitoring (CCTV, IoT).•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Awareness of data privacy regulations and secure handling of data.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Comfortable working with virtual machines and hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or similar).•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of database administration basics (SQL, backups, integrity checks).•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Strong understanding of backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience supporting end-user hardware: printers, workstations, VoIP phones, digital signage.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Basic knowledge of VoIP / IP-PBX telephone systems.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Familiarity with conference room AV setups and in-room entertainment systems is a plus..&nbsp;Soft Skills•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Clear communicator&nbsp;— able to explain complex technical topics to non-technical colleagues and management in plain, patient language.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Team player&nbsp;— comfortable working across departments (front desk, housekeeping, F&amp;B, management) and adapting to their needs.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Problem solver&nbsp;— calm under pressure, especially during high-occupancy periods when systems must stay running.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Self-starter&nbsp;— able to prioritise tasks independently, manage vendor relationships, and drive small improvement projects without constant supervision.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Documentation-minded&nbsp;— willing to maintain clear records of configurations, procedures, and inventory.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Multilingual ability&nbsp;&nbsp;—&nbsp;&nbsp;(Fluent English required; Greek also preferred; additional languages are a bonus).&nbsp;Nice to Have•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Cisco CCNA, ITIL, or equivalent).•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience with hospitality-specific platforms (Opera PMS, Micros PoS, or similar).•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Working knowledge of structured cabling and basic low-voltage infrastructure.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Any experience with scripting or automation (Bash, Python) to streamline routine tasks is valued&nbsp;What We Offer•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;A dynamic work environment at the intersection of hospitality and technology.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;The opportunity to shape and improve the hotel’s IT infrastructure.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;To&nbsp;develop&nbsp;and grow into more senior roles over time.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Competitive salary and benefits package.&nbsp;To apply, please send your CV along with a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and what excites you about IT to eliana@primacs.cy
