Join our growing team in the construction and real estate development sector! We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to develop within a well-established and expanding group involved in multiple construction and property projects across Cyprus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the full accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and month-end closings for construction and property-related entities.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate submission in accordance with Cyprus VAT legislation (including reduced VAT rate for properties).
• Maintaining and reconciling suppliers, subcontractors, intercompany accounts, and bank statements on a monthly basis.
• Monitoring project-related expenses, progress payments, and retention accounts.
• Assisting in cost allocation per project and preparing project profitability and cost-to-completion analyses.
• Coordinating with project manager, engineer, and site administrators to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Preparing management accounts and assisting in financial reporting and cashflow forecasting.
• Liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and other external consultants as required.
• Supporting the Finance Manager and/or CFO with ad-hoc reporting, budgeting, and administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in construction, real estate, or audit firms will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting standards, and IFRS principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navision) or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and spoken.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
