CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies operating in the Shipping Industry, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Accountant, you will handle a range of duties, including bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, preparing, and submitting VAT & VIES returns, supporting the external audit process, and more! Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who possess 3+ years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. You will need to be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English, and be a confident user of MS Excel, and accounting software. An outstanding remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a generous base salary, 13th salary, medical insurance, provident fund, flexible working hours, and hybrid working options.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software.
• Reconciling bank accounts, debtors, creditors, reviewing trial balances and underlying balance sheet accounts.
• Preparing and submitting VAT/VIES returns to Cyprus authorities.
• Supporting the audit process.
• Cooperating effectively with other departments both in Cyprus and abroad.
• Undertaking any other relevant tasks as assigned by Management.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any other related field.
• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Excellent knowledge of English and Greek, both verbal and in writing.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in using accounting systems.
• Communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
