Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting and bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
- Record and review sales, purchases, expenses and bank transactions
- Perform bank, debtor, creditor and other account reconciliations
- Prepare and review Trial Balances
- Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assist with payroll and Social Insurance matters where required
- Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation for audit purposes
- Communicate directly with clients regarding outstanding information and documentation
- Ensure accounting records are completed accurately and within the required deadlines
- Support the team with general accounting and tax-related matters
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field will be considered an advantage
- Previous experience in an accounting or audit firm will be considered a strong advantage
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Knowledge of Cyprus VAT and basic tax matters will be considered an advantage
- Very good command of both Greek and English
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software will be considered an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines
- Professional attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
