Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to hire a full-time Accounting Assistant with bookkeeping and accounting skills to support our Finance department in Law firm Michalaki, Pitsillidou & Co LLC in Limassol.
Accounting Assistants are expected to work comfortably under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates should be detail oriented, exercise sound judgment and must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen interest in providing support to the department’s CFO. They will be familiar with basic bookkeeping, tax and accounting principles and possess incredible accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the General Ledger (posting invoices and payments, handle accruals and prepayments)
- Handle and reconcile related company transactions
- Issue invoices and receipts to customers
- Perform Bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Perform reconciliations with suppliers’ statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in Payroll, VAT, TAX companies and VIES returns preparation
- Assist the CFO in the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or related field or LCCI/CAT qualification
- Very good communication skills in Greek and English languages both verbal and written
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
- Excellent computer skills and sound exposure to accounting software(s)
- Organizational skills and ability to manage and meet strict deadlines
- E-SOFT program as advantage
- Self-motivated, taking initiative, energetic and able to work under pressure
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday 07.30-16.00
- Friday 08.00-14.00
- Paid annual leave 21 days
