Job Description

Responsibilities:

This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:

·         Act as a strategic partner by supporting the development and implementation of the company’s financial and operational plans

·         Oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, and financial reporting

·         Supervise, train, and review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency

·         Review and authorize VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions.

·         Prepare and analyse management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements

·         Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on accounting and tax-related matters

·         Provide clients with guidance and advice on accounting, VAT, and compliance issues

·         Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery

·         Monitor project efficiency, ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on outstanding payments

·         Present financial results and insights to senior management to support decision-making

·         Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:

·         ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·         Over 5 years of audit firm experience, including at least 3 years post-qualification

·         Excellent knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards and regulations

·         Exposure in accounting software (e.g.E-soft, Odoo)

·         Strong analytical and organizational skills

·         Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

·         Effective teamwork and independent working capabilities

·         Excellent communication skills in Greek and English

·         IT literate and adaptable

·         High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude.
