Accounting Officer/Bookkeeper
Job Description
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Work-mode: On-site
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, either 8:00am – 5:00pm or 9:00am – 6:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break (1:00pm – 2:00pm)
Salary: €24,000 – €27,000 gross per annum (paid in 13 salaries)

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, accounting records are maintained to a high standard, and financial information is prepared in a timely manner. This role is ideal for an organised and detail-oriented accounting professional looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and expanding organisation.
Responsibilities
- Record accounting entries accurately within the accounting system
- Prepare payments for approval
- Record accounting transactions relating to revenue and expenses
- Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, including issuing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, sending payment reminders, and issuing receipts
- Record and reconcile incoming payments while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date accounting records
- Monitor account balances and identify outstanding debts or discrepancies
- Update accounting records with invoices, payments, balances, and supplier information
- Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations for suppliers, customers, and bank accounts
- Support the Finance team with other accounting duties as required
Requirements
- LCCI Higher or Intermediate qualification in Accounting
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
- Experience using accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
