CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading FMCG company with a long history of success here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer (Polish-Speaking) to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Accounting Officer, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties on behalf of our client. As part of your role, you will communicate regularly with polish-speaking customers, suppliers, and business associates regarding accounting and financial matters. An academic background in a relevant field of study is desirable, and you should hold some prior experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping position. Fluency in both verbal and written Polish is essential, along with knowledge of either Greek and/or English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Recording purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, receipts, and payments in the accounting system.
Checking the accuracy of invoices and supporting documentation.
Reconciling customer and supplier accounts.
Communicating with Polish-speaking customers, suppliers, and business associates regarding accounting and financial matters.
Managing and filing accounting documents and supporting records.
Assisting with bank reconciliations and other accounting reconciliations.
Collaborating with other members of the Accounting Department and with other departments of the Company.
Performing any other related duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
Key Skills/Experience:
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous work experience in an accounting department or in a similar position.
Very good knowledge of the Polish language, both spoken and written.
Good knowledge of Greek and/or English.
Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Legal right to work in the Republic of Cyprus.
