The Client
A Cyprus-based venture and operating as an energy company. Through its modern infrastructure and operations, the Company supports the needs of the Cyprus energy market by providing essential services for LPG.
Responsibilities
A unique opportunity for a dynamic professional to join as an Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate will primarily support the Company’s accounting and financial operations and will also have the opportunity tobe included in supporting selected administrative and HR-related processes as part of the broader finance function.Main responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Process supplier invoices and perform supplier statement reconciliations
- Record bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations
- Issue invoices to customers and reconcile incoming payments
- Perform stock reconciliations and prepare daily customer reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and Intrastat reports
- Administer and maintain the time and attendance system
- Support onboarding processes through preparation and coordination of employee documentation
- Maintain proper filing systems and ensure accurate document organization
- Provide administrative support and assist with ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required
Profile of the ideal candidate
- University degree in any field may be considered an advantage
- A professional qualification or certification in Accounting will be considered an advantage (e.g. LCCI Higher, CAT, AAT, etc.)
- At least 2 years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities
- Experience with SAP Business One will be considered an advantage
- Basic exposure to HR administrative processes will be considered an advantage
- Strong analytical and organisationalskills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
- Tech savvy –Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular Excel
- Very good knowledge of both Greek and English.
