Associate Lawyer
SCORDIS, PAPAPETROU & Co is looking to recruit a motivated and dedicated Associate lawyer to join its experienced and successful Corporate team of lawyers at its Nicosia office.

SCORDIS, PAPAPETROU & Co is a multi-discipline group that includes the well-known and reputable law firm, SCORDIS, PAPAPETROU & Co LLC, a Corporate Services arm as well as other affiliates, providing services to clients both in Cyprus and worldwide. The Law Firm has a history of over 100 years of practice and expertise, and its team comprises over 30 advocates and legal consultants, 15 inhouse qualified professionals of related disciplines and 50 paralegal, administrative and other personnel with offices in Nicosia, Limassol, Athens and the UAE.
The Role
· Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including confidentiality, financing,
Joint-venture agreements, shareholder agreements and share purchase/sale agreements.
· Providing high-quality legal advice and services regarding the establishment, reporting obligations,
administration, restructuring, and rehabilitation of companies.
· Drafting minutes, resolutions, powers of attorney and other legal documents
· Undertaking legal due diligence exercises by reviewing complex agreements and multiple
documents, identifying key issues, and offering solid and realistic advice and solutions to clients and drafting legal due diligence reports.
· Being capable of participating in and handling transactional, cross-border operations and confidently conducting meetings with clients, counterparties, and their advisors.
· Participating in meetings of private and public companies and keeping minutes.
· Advising public companies on their CySEC and CSE reporting and other obligations, reviewing and drafting annual reports, announcements and other documents.
· Creating/dissolving companies.
· Supporting the company's corporate procedures.
· Interacting with banks and payment systems.
· Interacting with tax and other governmental authorities.
What We Are Looking For
· Law degree from a reputable academic institution.
· Academic Excellence
· At least five (5) years of experience in corporate & commercial litigation inclusive of hearings.
· Member of the Cyprus Bar Association with a practicing license.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a variety of complex issues simultaneously
under strict deadlines and pressure.
· Adherence to high professional standards and work ethics.
· Ability to work in a team.
· Excellent command of Greek and English, both spoken and written.
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs.
