The group: The group operates in shipping industry for over 2 decades and today runs from several offices globally. The wider team consists of very diversified environment with 10 different nationalities across 6 offices.

Role: Bookkeeper

Join daily accounting execution of group of companies operating in the shipping / maritime industry

Key responsibilities

• Working in a small team of accountants (5 people) assisting directly to accounts manager
• Daily tasks may include assisting with routine simple activities such as : invoicing, posting in software, online payments and general bookkeeping.
• Prepare documents and materials for audit
• Monitor payments from clients and payment schedule to suppliers. Credit line utilisations, repayment schedules.
• Assist in preparation of transaction documents and documentation for obtaining bank financing
• Assist in closing the books by helping with reconciliations of general ledger accounts and preparing reports.
• This role assumes that the candidate will grow in the team, gain further responsibility with time

The candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Past experience in a shipping company is a benefit (but not required)
• At least 4 years experience as bookkeeper or similar
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong excel skills
• Fluent in Greek and sufficient level of English
