Business Systems Analyst - Ref (6298/BSA/ESS/GR)
Location: Athens, Greece OR Nicosia, Cyprus
The role:
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the successful candidate will act as a key link between business users, operational teams, technical stakeholders and external technology partners, ensuring that systems effectively support business requirements, operational efficiency and an excellent user experience. The role will involve understanding operational requirements, translating business needs into system solutions, supporting system configuration and testing, and providing guidance and training to users. You will also contribute to the management and continuous improvement of other operational systems across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of a key business management system, including implementation, configuration, stabilisation and continuous improvement.
Define system requirements, enhancements and configuration changes based on business needs.
Ensure data integrity, system performance and compliance across supported platforms.
Act as a primary point of contact for users, providing guidance, training and functional support.
Coordinate incident management and troubleshooting with IT teams and external vendors.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
Lead or support system testing, validation, integrations and change management initiatives.
Maintain system documentation, SOPs, configuration records and training materials.
Identify opportunities to optimise processes, enhance system functionality and improve user experience.
Contribute to longer-term systems strategy and roadmap planning.
About you:
We are looking for a systems-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively bridge business requirements and technical solutions.
You will ideally have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline
Experience in business systems management. Experience in the maritime, cruise, hospitality or travel industries will be considered a plus
Experience in system implementation, testing, training and change management.
Strong understanding of operational business processes.
Experience with system configuration, user support and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of data governance, reporting and compliance requirements.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
The ability to effectively bridge business needs and technical solutions.
A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a high level of ownership and initiative.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Experience with MXP or similar systems will be considered an advantage.
