CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a dedicated project management service provider specialized in the real estate, facilities management, and construction sectors, we are seeking to recruit a Certification Coordinator to provide services to one of their clients with operations in both Larnaca and Paphos, on an initial 1-year fixed-term contract. As a Certification Coordinator, you will own the integrated certification plan for both project locations, and provide management with one reliable, current view of certification readiness, acting as the day-to-day manager of the readiness process on behalf of the Technical Project Manager. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline, who possess approximately 7+ years of experience in planning, project controls or project coordination on large building or infrastructure projects, including at least one completion, testing and commissioning or handover phase. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which will include onsite travel provisioning. This is an initial one year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a longer-term arrangement in the future.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain the certification requirements/deliverables matrix and integrate design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover milestones into the HOR master schedule.
Track contractual notice, inspection, review, closure, and reinspection periods, including Partial Completion and Grantor/IE attendance requirements.
Forecast Partial, Substantial and Final Completion dates, identify risks and propose recovery actions.
Chair weekly readiness meetings and maintain the six-week look-ahead, readiness dashboard and exception reporting.
Prepare monthly executive certification reports and resource forecasts.
Maintain consolidated risk, action and decision registers and drive timely close-out.
Track operational-acceptance decisions and deadlines, escalating delays.
Ensure all IE submissions have passed HOR readiness and client operational-acceptance gates.
Key Skills/Experience:
Degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, construction management, or a closely related discipline.
At least seven years’ experience in planning, project controls or project coordination on large building or infrastructure projects, including at least one completion, testing and commissioning or handover phase.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and in building and maintaining requirements or deliverables matrices.
Working knowledge of contractual notice and review-period management under FIDIC or comparable contract forms.
Demonstrated ability to chair multi-party meetings, issue concise written reports, and hold parties to actions.
Professional working proficiency in English.
Experience with independent engineer or certifier arrangements under concession or PPP contracts is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic document management systems and dashboard tools (for example Power BI) will be considered an advantage.
Registration with ETEK or an equivalent professional body is desirable.
