Job Description

Seeking to recruit a Civil Engineer with experienced in road work and construction

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor road construction activities, including earthworks, excavation, embankments, subgrade, sub-base, base course, asphalt works, drainage, and road finishing.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction documents.
• Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, subcontractors, surveyors, laboratory technicians, and other project personnel.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and report delays or technical issues to the Project Manager.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper workmanship and compliance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate with surveying teams to verify levels, alignments, slopes, quantities, and road geometry.
• Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, site instructions, inspections, tests, and technical documentation.
• Assist in planning resources, equipment, manpower, and materials required for construction activities.
• Ensure all works are completed within the required time, cost, quality, and safety targets.
