Job Description
Iacovou Group, one of the most reputable and established Construction Groups in Cyprus and Abroad, seeks to recruit an experienced and high caliber professional for the position of Civil Engineer, for asphalt operations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for organising the Asphalt Plants and Asphalt Works / Projects
- Delegates responsibilities and authorities to the Asphalt Plant Operators & Site Supervisors for controlling the particular works / projects
- Responsible for the overall planning of the works and involved in the preparation of construction method statements during pre-contract and post-contract stages
- Contract supervision and quality control falls within his area of responsibility
- Responsible for the preparation of subcontractors’ agreements and settles their final accounts
- Prepares/Reviews financial and progress reports for the projects
- Approves final payment for plant, labour, subcontractors and suppliers’ invoices
- Deals with various contractual matters
- Prepares / Reviews and submits, when required the Quality Management Plan and inputs information for the preparation of Safety and Environmental Management Plan (QSE)
- Make sure that the Health and Safety Officer, Environmental Manager Representative (EMR) and the Health and Safety and Environmental Coordinators have all necessary means and support for the execution of their duties
General Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Previous experience with at least 3-10 years of experience in asphalt operations
- Registered member of ETEK (Technical Chamber of Cyprus)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Project management skills
- Analytical and numerical skills
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- Civil Engineering specific knowledge
- Organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Very good knowledge of Greek and English language
