CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading real estate development and construction company with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Construction Site Engineer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Construction Site Engineer, you will take responsibility for managing day-to-day construction activities onsite, ensuring that every phase of the project is executed according to approved architectural and engineering plans. This role requires strong technical understanding of construction drawings, coordination between engineers and subcontractors, and close supervision of site execution. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Civil Engineering, or another closely related field, who possess 5+ years of experience managing or supervising building construction projects. You will need to have strong ability to read, understand, and execute architectural and engineering drawings, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

• Define project scope, construction phases, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring all project milestones are met and sequencing between trades is properly coordinated.
• Thoroughly review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
• Ensure that all construction works are executed strictly according to the approved drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.
• Supervise daily on-site construction activities and ensure work progresses according to schedule and design specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and service providers to ensure proper workflow and sequencing of construction activities.
• Coordinate the ordering and delivery of construction materials according to the project schedule.
• Source suppliers, compare offers, and negotiate pricing and delivery conditions to ensure cost efficiency.
• Act as a key point of contact between the company, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on construction progress, technical issues, and site conditions.
• Ensure all construction works comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high construction quality and adherence to plans.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports, material records, and site instructions throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

• Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing or supervising building construction projects.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and execute architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and construction trades.
• Experience managing construction materials procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus construction regulations and industry practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
• Proficiency with project management or construction planning tools.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
