Job Description

A leading retail company in Cyprus is seeking an experienced and commercially driven District Manager to lead a network of 8–10 stores across the island. The role is responsible for driving sales performance, developing Store Managers, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering a consistent customer experience across the district.

 

Role Purpose

The District Manager is responsible for empowering Store Managers to ensure that each store is fully prepared to meet commercial targets and deliver an excellent customer journey. The role combines people leadership, field coaching, operational follow-up, KPI ownership, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders to improve district performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers across 8–10 stores within the Cyprus district.
• Drive sales growth and ensure each store remains focused on commercial performance and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular store visits and maintain strong visibility across the district.
• Ensure stores are fully aligned with company standards, visual merchandising guidelines, seasonal readiness plans, and operational procedures.
• Monitor and improve agreed KPIs, productivity levels, and relevant operating costs across the district.
• Build a strong talent pipeline through recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and retention of high-performing store teams.
• Train and support Store Managers in leadership, recruitment, performance management, and people development.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to support store activities, improvements, and implementation of new tools or business initiatives.
• Promote a positive, high-performance culture that reflects company values and encourages accountability, engagement, and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with local work environment rules, internal standards, and company policies across all stores.

 

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in managing, motivating, and leading multi-site or retail teams.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to improve results and translate strategy into action.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and retain talent.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence teams remotely and on site.
• Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with a positive and solutions-oriented approach.
• High flexibility regarding travel and working schedule.
• Fluency in Greek and English.
• Valid driving licence.

 

Compensation and Benefits

• Gross monthly salary: €3,500 – €4,200, depending on experience and overall fit.
