An Electrical Technician to develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical and automation equipment.
As an Electrical Technician, you will:
Ensure all systems, processes, and new installations comply with national (Κ.Γ.Π. 168/2017) and international (Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671) safety standards, or any other standard related to Electrical safety requirements/regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety controls.
Develop preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment/appliance and automation/utility equipment according to Electrical standards and machine manufacturer guidelines.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and updates to electrical diagrams and layout drawings.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system failures effectively to minimise downtime. Ensure that critical parts and components are available on-site to minimise downtime in the event of a potential breakdown.
Lead or support automation projects, driven by requirements or improvements of process equipment and/or utilities, ensuring they are completed within Electrical regulations, functionality/specifications, within the project timeframe and within the agreed budget.
Participate in systems commissioning and testing, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during startup and routine operation.
Provide technical support to other teams/departments related to facilities, machinery and utilities to ensure that all systems in place are in line with the Electrical regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP)
Preparing project proposals for automation solutions and cost savings. Identify and implement
improvements to increase the efficiency and reliability of electrical and automation systems. Research and recommend new technologies for industrial automation.
Preparations and drafting of Engineering-related documents (User Requirement Specifications, Standards Operating Procedures, Change Request Forms)
Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Engineering and Works Manager
What you will bring:
Holder of a Secondary Technical High School Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Higher Education Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Two years of practical experience in the maintenance of electrical appliances and equipment, including Diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs.
