Emphasys Centre operates in the last 27 years as an Education, ICT Training, Research and Development Centre. Emphasys is a leading organization for the coordination, management and implementation of Research Projects under various programmes e.g. Erasmus+, CoVE, Alliances of Innovation, Capacity Building in VET, AMIF, CERV, Creative Europe. It has a well-established network of organisations, both in Cyprus and in Europe, aiming to promote the EU policies related to the digital transformation, green transition, sustainable development, social inclusion, human rights etc.

Emphasys is seeking to hire an ambitious EU Strategic Project Manager with previous experience in the management of EU-funded projects to join a team of diverse professionals, working in an energetic and supportive environment where he/she will be inspired, challenged and rewarded!

The EU Strategic Project Manager will be involved in the following:

-Identification of needs, challenges and problems impacting EU professionals, trainers, citizens

-Keeping up to date with EU recommendations and policies

-Identification and monitoring of funding opportunities (grants and tenders)

-Conducting research and literature reviews for the preparation of presentations, concept notes or reports related to project ideas 

-Developing concept note ideas for the development of proposals

-Designing and developing comprehensive research proposals

-Coordinating the design phase process

-Managing the administration procedure for the submission of proposals 

-Proposing, communicating and engaging with relevant organisations, public authorities, stakeholders etc. in order to build strong consortia

-Supporting the rest of the team involved in the development of proposals

-Participation in networking events and conferences nationally and overseas

For this position, Emphasys Centre is searching for motivated individuals with:

•  Excellent knowledge of English and Greek (both written and oral)

Required Qualifications, experience and knowledge:

• Experience in implementation/management of EU projects under the Erasmus+ (Centralised and Decentralised actions e.g. Alliances of Innovation, CoVE), AMIF, Horizon, CREA, CERV etc.
• Knowledge of current EU funding programmes, calls and their requirements
• A university degree in any relevant subject to EU policies

Additional qualifications and experience

• Previous experience in development of EU-funded research projects
• A Masters and/or PhD degree in any relevant subject to EU policies
