The Client
A law firm established in 1951 in Famagusta, now based in Nicosia and Limassol, with a strong international practice and expertise in shipping, corporate, commercial, aviation, real estate and succession law.
Responsibililities
A role fit for an experienced Finance professional, to assume responsibility of overseeing the firm’s finance functions, and supporting the Partners with all financial decisions. This is a long-term opportunity to grow within a dynamic and professional environment.
Main responsibilities include:
• Oversee all aspects of the firm’s finance functions, managing the day-to-day financial operations.
• Liaise with external tax & financial advisors.
• Oversee the firm’s book keeping and trial balances.
• Support and coordinate the preparation of the firm’s financial statements and audit process.
• Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and insights for decision-making.
• Carry out budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
• Assist the firm with credit control, aging monitoring and collection of unpaid invoices.
• Monitor financial performance and explain variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor, guiding Partners on all financial matters.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the firm’s long-term financial strategy and planning.
Profile of the ideal candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or in a related field.
• Member of a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA).
• At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong ability to engage and communicate confidently with Senior Management and Partners.
• A long-term mindset, with the motivation to grow and develop alongside the firm.
• Very good language skills in both English and Greek, written and verbal.
• Tech savvy (MS Office, Accounting softwares, etc.)
