Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ leading land and building developers, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their growing team based in Limassol. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s Finance and Accounting functions. As part of your role, you will review and guide a team of accountants to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with local regulations and standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and full members of a recognised accounting body are encouraged to apply. You will need to hold 5+ years of accounting and/or auditing experience, with any prior exposure to the Construction and/or Real Estate industries considered a significant advantage. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Ensure the smooth operation of the company’s Finance and Accounting functions.
• Review and guide a team of accountants to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with local regulations and standards.
• Managing the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Monitoring cash flow, financial performance, and profitability and provide strategic recommendations to the management.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Reviewing tax returns, VAT filings, and other statutory reports on time.
• Assisting with external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements, and resolving any issues that arise.
• Maintain relations and cooperate with external associates such as auditors, banks, etc.
• Report to the group Chief Financial Officer.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other relevant field .
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA) will be considered as an advantage.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or auditing experience (experience in Construction and Real Estate industry will be considered as strong advantage).
• Experience with the Cyprus Tax and VAT Legislation.
• Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Accounting Software, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Be highly motivated and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in team.
