Finance Officer

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is a leading research university ranked in the Top 501-550 in the 2027 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

UNIC Health, supporting the strategic growth of the Medical School, the School of Veterinary Medicine and the Medical Centre, seeks a full-time Finance Officer based in Nicosia to join its Finance Team.

Main Responsibilities:

·         Provide day-to-day accounting and financial administration support.

·         Assist to prepare and process invoices for teaching services, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

·         Liaise with internal departments and external parties to ensure the smooth and timely processing of financial matters.

·         Assist with the preparation of financial reports and the teaching services budget.

·         Maintain student financial records, prepare reports, monitor overdue fees and respond to students’ financial enquiries.

Requirements:

·         Undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field; accounting qualifications (LCCI) are an advantage.

·         Relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.

·         Knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems; SAP experience is an advantage.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.

·         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

·         Excellent organizational, teamwork and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.

·         Professional, discreet, self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong customer-service focus.

The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in the European Union/ European Economic Area.
