The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering the Bocconcini experience through the preparation and presentation of fresh sandwiches, quality coffee and other food and beverage offerings, while providing warm, professional and attentive service to every customer. This is a hands-on role for an individual who takes pride in quality, presentation and creating a positive customer experience.
Job Description
· Prepare and serve fresh sandwiches, coffee and other food and beverage products in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
· Deliver warm, professional and efficient customer service, creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
· Handle sales transactions and operate the POS/cash register accurately and efficiently.
· Ensure all products are prepared, presented and served to the highest standards of quality, freshness and consistency.
· Maintain an attractive and well-presented Bocconcini display and retail area.
· Monitor stock levels and ensure products and supplies are replenished in a timely manner.
· Assist with receiving, checking and organising incoming products and supplies.
· Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across all preparation and service areas.
· Ensure full compliance with food safety, health, hygiene and Company standards at all times.
· Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and professional condition.
· Contribute to the smooth and efficient daily operation of Bocconcini.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a consistently high level of service and product quality.
· Represent the Bocconcini and Ararat brand with professionalism, positive energy and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
· Perform any other related duties as reasonably required by management.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in Food & Beverage, hospitality, café, delicatessen or retail food environments.
· Experience in sandwich preparation, coffee service or a similar customer-facing role will be considered an advantage.
· Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
· Ability to remain calm, efficient and professional in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic knowledge of sales, POS systems, stock handling and inventory management.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality, freshness and presentation.
· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
· Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
· Professional, positive and customer-focused attitude.
