About the Role

The Mid-Level Frontend Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining and improving modern web applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs) that deliver high-quality user experiences.

The role works closely with Product, Design, Backend and QA teams to develop scalable and reliable frontend solutions, while taking greater ownership of assigned features and contributing to technical improvements and frontend development practices.

Role Scope & Responsibility

Works with a good level of independence within established engineering standards and development processes.

The role is responsible for independently developing and delivering assigned features, resolving moderately complex frontend issues and contributing to technical and architectural discussions, while seeking guidance on highly complex or business-critical matters where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve modern web applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Build responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
• Translate UI/UX concepts into high-quality, maintainable code.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Write clean, structured and reusable code following established engineering standards.
• Independently take ownership of assigned frontend features and development tasks.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications across browsers and devices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to improvements in frontend performance, quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical and architectural discussions.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile development processes and continuously improve technical knowledge and practices.

 Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant technical experience/qualifications.
• Approximately 2–4+ years of relevant professional experience in frontend development, web development or a related technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining modern web applications and SPAs.

Required Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript.
• Good knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework such as Vue.js, Angular or React.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, browser rendering, caching and web performance.
• Good understanding of Single Page Application architecture.
• Good understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as Sass or LESS.
• Familiarity with modern build tools such as Vite, Webpack or similar.
• Good knowledge of Git and version-control workflows.
• Professional proficiency in English and Greek.

Considered an advantage

• Commercial experience with Vue.js.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, Cypress or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
• Experience optimizing frontend performance and application scalability.
• Proficiency in any additional language will be considered an advantage.

Effort & Role Demands

The role requires sustained technical concentration, analytical thinking and problem-solving when developing, testing, optimizing and troubleshooting frontend applications.

It involves managing multiple development priorities, meeting project deadlines and independently resolving technical issues within the scope of the role.

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Full-time permanent position.
• Hybrid working arrangement available after 6 months - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
• Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:15, including a 45-minute lunch break.
• Friday: 08:30–17:00, including a 30-minute lunch break.
• The role involves regular computer use and sustained technical concentration.

Compensation

Initial salary positioning within the range is determined using objective, gender-neutral criteria relevant to the position, including relevant professional experience, demonstrated technical knowledge and skills, qualifications, proficiency with relevant technologies, and demonstrated ability to work independently in relation to the requirements of the role.
