Group Compliance Officer
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead governance, compliance, quality assurance, health & safety and environmental management across a diversified group operating in the construction, hospitality, property development and property management sectors.
- This is a senior position for a professional capable of developing and maintaining frameworks, management systems and assurance processes that support operational excellence, regulatory compliance and effective risk management across the Group, including the organisation of relevant training and promote these into the corporate culture.
Skills and specifications:
- Strong organisational, analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to implement compliance and management systems across business units.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Environmental Management, Health & Safety, Quality Management, Law, Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in a dedicated compliance, governance, internal audit, risk management or regulatory compliance role.
The following will be considered assets:
Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001).
NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
Experience in ESG and sustainability reporting.
Membership of a recognised professional compliance, audit, safety or technical body.
Experience in conducting internal audits.
