History Teacher (Lower Secondary)
Job Description
Teaching isn’t just a job. It’s a calling… and we’re looking for the ones who can’t ignore it. At Lighthouse School, we value curiosity, depth, and thoughtful inquiry over routine compliance. We seek educators who see teaching not as the completion of tasks, but as a relational craft grounded in purpose and intellectual reflection. If you're the kind of educator who sees teaching as a craft, not a checklist, who wants to shape the future, not just supervise it, and are drawn to collaborative and reflective practice, you might have just found your people. Join a team where your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your students thrive in a place that values the whole child. Lighthouse isn’t like other schools. Maybe you aren’t like other teachers.
If you are a seasoned, experienced lower secondary History Teacher accustomed to integrating project-based, experiential, and inquiry-based learning, and dedicated to fostering confidence, creativity, and critical thinking… we are more likely to be a match. We are committed to offering small class sizes, enabling you to effectively differentiate instruction and support each of your prospective students’ unique learning needs. At Lighthouse, educators are not merely supported but, most importantly, empowered and encouraged to innovate, collaborate, and help shape the educational journeys of their students and their own. The school’s inclusive, forward-thinking community ensures that every teacher has a voice and a role in the school’s development.
If you're an educator who values collaboration, continuous growth, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life, Lighthouse is the place for you.
