CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a versatile and innovative technology company that has been enabling digital transformation solutions for financial institutions in more than 30 countries worldwide, we are seeking to recruit an Information Security Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Information Security Officer, you will help to manage and support the continuous improvement of the Company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 and other applicable information security standards and regulatory requirements. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, who possess at least 1+ year of relevant professional experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related area. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, and Provident Fund.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Manage and support the continuous improvement of the Company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 and other applicable information security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and assess information security risks and coordinate the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
• Conduct periodic reviews of information security controls, policies, procedures, and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Coordinate internal and external information security audits and monitor the timely implementation of identified findings and corrective actions.
• Manage and coordinate the investigation, documentation, reporting, and follow-up of information security incidents.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and contribute to the timely implementation of appropriate security measures.
• Coordinate and promote information security awareness and training activities across the Company
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the consistent application of information security requirements across systems, projects, services, and business processes
• Maintain relevant information security documentation, records, and reports
• Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and third-party security assessment activities, where applicable

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related area.
• Good understanding of ISO/IEC 27001, information security controls, and risk management principles.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with applicable data protection and information security requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different teams.
• Proactive approach and willingness to continuously develop knowledge in information security and cybersecurity.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
