CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a luxury retail outlet with operations across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Accountant to join their headquarters based in Limassol. As an Internal Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and holders of the LCCI Higher or similar accounting certification are encouraged to apply. You will need to hold prior experience in a relevant accounting and/or bookkeeping role, and be fluent in both Greek and English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, and discounts on store products. Flexible working hours are available with a total of 38 hours required per week, with a start time between 08:00 and 09:30 and a corresponding finish time between 16:30 and 18:00, from Monday to Friday.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Maintain organized financial documentation and reports.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation and process of the payroll, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other tax filings.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Reconcile inventory by coordinating with the stock control department.
Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
Ensure compliance with Cyprus accounting and tax regulations.
Key Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
LCCI Higher or equivalent bookkeeping qualification.
Experience in a relevant bookkeeping or accounting role is essential.
Knowledge of Cyprus tax laws and VAT regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Fluency in English and Greek is required.
