Job Description

Responsibilities:

This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:

·         Plan and perform internal audit engagements in accordance with IIA Standards, internal methodologies, and applicable legislation

·         Assess risks, evaluate internal controls, and perform appropriate audit procedures and testing

·         Perform compliance audits ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards

·         Identify control weaknesses, compliance issues, and areas of increased risk, providing practical recommendations

·         Prepare and maintain audit working papers, reports, findings, and recommendations

·         Prepare clear internal audit reports outlining findings, risks, control weaknesses, and recommendations

·         Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders

·         Monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions and follow up on outstanding issues

·         Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

·         Stay up to date with IIA Standards, ISA, IFRS, Cyprus legislation, AML, compliance, and risk management requirements

·         Perform additional duties as required by the role.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:

·         University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; ACA, ACCA, or CIA qualification

·         3+ years of relevant experience in internal/external audit, risk, or compliance

·         Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, audit methodologies, and IIA Standards

·         Good knowledge of IFRS and Cyprus legislation; knowledge of tax, VAT, and AML is an advantage

·         Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel; CaseWare experience is an advantage

·         Excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

·         Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken

·         Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·         Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous professional development.
