CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding provider of Corporate & Fiduciary Services to a diverse portfolio of international clients, we are seeking to recruit an Internal Bookkeeper to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Internal Bookkeeper, you will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties. As part of your role, you will maintain accounting records, handle VAT & VIES preparation, and assist with the preparation of management accounts. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, and holders of the LCCI or any other relevant accounting certification are encouraged to apply. You will need to posses approximately 2+ years of relevant experience, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, including a performance-based bonus, and flexible working hours.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining accounting records in accordance with International Accounting Standards.
• VAT and VIES preparation and reporting.
• Preparation of Management Accounts and reporting.
• Work closely with Managers and staff to meet department objectives.
• Perform payments and bank reconciliations.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar will be considered a plus.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Cyprus VAT and tax compliance.
• Fluent in English and Greek (Written and Spoken).
• IT literacy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
