Interpreters

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is a leading research university ranked in the Top 501-600 in the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

UNIC Health, supporting the strategic growth of its Medical and Veterinary Schools, seeks Interpreters based in Limassol and Kyperounta to join its team under a services agreement.

The successful candidates will provide their services on an ad-hoc basis and will act as Interpreters to groups of Medical students. Throughout their Medical training, our students have clinical placements at public and private hospitals/clinics. For these placements, we use Interpreters to assist our students in communicating with patients.

Main Responsibilities:

·         Assist students with taking patient histories

·         Interpret for non-English speaking patients

·         Complete daily logbook

·         Proficient understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

·         Honour ethical codes to ensure sensitive and confidential information remains secure and protected

Requirements:

·         An undergraduate degree

·         Fluent in both Greek and English

·         Availability to work from Monday to Friday from 08:30-13:30

Remuneration: Fixed rate per hour

The ideal candidate should be eligible to work in the European Union/ European Economic Area.
