IT Systems Administrator
Job Description
The Role:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated professional for the position of IT Systems Administrator full-time to be based in their office in Nicosia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting company IT systems, hardware, software, and network equipment.
Administering Windows workstations, servers, Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions, email services, printers, and related IT tools.
Providing day-to-day technical support to users and ensuring timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests.
Supporting network administration, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN access, Wi-Fi, and endpoint connectivity.
Performing system updates, security patches, backups, monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
Supporting cybersecurity controls, access management, endpoint protection, and secure configuration of company systems.
Maintaining IT documentation, asset registers, system records, access rights records, and operational procedures.
Assisting with business continuity, backup, disaster recovery, and incident response activities.
Coordinating with external IT service providers, software vendors, and other third-party technology providers where required.
Supporting the company’s ICT governance, internal controls, and regulatory obligations applicable to a financial services environment.
Assisting with DORA-related ICT documentation and operational resilience controls where applicable.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar IT support, systems administration, or network administration role.
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 administration.
Experience with servers, workstations, networking equipment, firewalls, endpoint security, backups, and user access management.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT controls, data protection, and secure system administration.
Ability to support IT-related documentation, records, controls, and procedures required in a regulated financial services environment.
Knowledge of, or willingness to become familiar with, DORA-related ICT requirements, operational resilience, ICT risk management, and incident management.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a structured and timely manner.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills in Greek and English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work responsibly, independently, and confidentially.
Advantages

Experience in the financial services, investment firm, forex, banking, fintech, or regulated sector.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, VMware, cybersecurity, or networking certifications.
Experience with virtualization, firewalls, VPNs, backup solutions, monitoring tools, and incident management.
Familiarity with IT documentation, policies, procedures, audit evidence, and regulatory inspections.
