Junior Accountant
Job Description
On behalf of our client, a reputable professional services network based in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant. This role is suited to a motivated individual, who is eager to develop practical experience in accounting and gain exposure to day-to-day financial operations within a professional environment.
Role Overview
The Junior Accountant will support the finance team in routine accounting and administrative tasks, working under guidance to ensure accuracy and timely execution of activities. The role provides an opportunity to develop core accounting skills, gain exposure to client-related financial processes, and build a solid foundation within a structured and professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform general accounting and bookkeeping functions using the designated Accounting System.
· Assist with the opening and administration of bank accounts.
· Assist with and/or process payment instructions on behalf of clients and communicate related documentation and information to clients.
· Maintain regular communication with clients and banks.
· Assist in performing due diligence on payments.
Requirements and Desirable Skills
· LCCI Higher in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
· Previous experience of 1–2 years in a similar role will be considered an advantage.
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
· Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance will be considered an advantage.
