Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an ACCA approved employer providing Audit & Accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accounting Officer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As a Junior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, as well as handling VAT and VIES reporting. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, and holders of the LCCI Higher and/or CAT certification are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Handle VAT and VIES reporting.
• Review and reconcile general ledger records.
• Prepare and submit payroll and social insurance returns.
• Collaborate with other departments within the firm.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• A University Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• LCCI Higher / CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in a relevant role is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
• Good computer literacy.
• Prior experience is not required but will be considered an advantage.
