Junior Business Analyst Consultant
Job Description
Company / Client Overview
On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing company operating in the business consulting, franchise development, and business growth sector, we are seeking to recruit a talented and ambitious Junior Business Analyst Consultant to join their team in Chalandri, Athens.
The company works with both established organizations and emerging business concepts, supporting projects involving business development, market analysis, growth strategy, franchise development, business planning, and commercial decision-making.
This is a genuine junior-level opportunity for a young professional who wants to build strong business and consulting expertise through exposure to different industries, business models, and real consulting projects.
The company is not looking for an experienced consultant. The objective is to identify a candidate with the right analytical foundation, intellectual curiosity, business interest, and professional potential, and invest in their gradual development.
Role Overview
The Junior Business Analyst Consultant will initially work in a primarily analytical and project-support capacity, contributing to market research, competitive analysis, business planning, commercial analysis, benchmarking, presentations, reports, and consulting assignments.
The ideal candidate will have approximately 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as:
• Market Research
• Business Analysis
• Marketing Analysis
• Consumer Insights
• Competitive Analysis
• Commercial Analysis
• Business Development Support
• Consulting
• Similar research and analysis-oriented roles
Candidates with less professional experience may also be considered where they demonstrate a strong academic background, meaningful internships or project exposure, excellent analytical thinking, and clear professional potential.
Previous experience in franchising is not required. Knowledge of the sector can be developed through the position.
The emphasis is not on impressive previous job titles, but on what the candidate has actually done, what they have learned, how they approach information, and how they think about business problems.
The philosophy behind the position is simple:
Junior today – Business Consultant tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Industry Analysis
• Conduct structured market research across different sectors and industries
• Identify, research, and assess reliable information sources
• Perform competitor and competitive landscape analysis
• Support industry and market mapping exercises
• Conduct international benchmarking
• Research market, consumer, and business trends
• Collect and organize quantitative and qualitative information
• Compare businesses, markets, competitors, and business models
• Identify relevant market opportunities, developments, and potential risks
Data & Business Analysis
• Gather, organize, process, and analyze business data
• Support commercial and financial analysis
• Develop structured Excel files and analytical models
• Assist with interpreting data and identifying meaningful trends
• Translate information and research findings into clear conclusions
• Support the analysis of customer profiles, revenue models, costs, competition, and growth opportunities
Business Planning
• Support the preparation of business plans
• Assist with research required for new business concepts and growth projects
• Contribute to the evaluation of different business models
• Support the analysis of expansion opportunities in Greece and international markets
• Assist in researching potential commercial, operational, and strategic risks
The candidate is not expected to independently prepare complex business plans or manage major consulting projects from day one.
These responsibilities will develop gradually as their knowledge and experience increase.
Reports & Presentations
• Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations
• Structure complex information clearly and logically
• Present research findings in an easy-to-understand business format
• Prepare reports, summaries, and analytical documentation
• Support the preparation of client presentations
• Assist with the preparation of workshops and consulting meetings

Consulting Project Support
• Support senior team members across different consulting projects

• Assist with the development and testing of business hypotheses
• Support the development of conclusions and recommendations
• Participate in projects involving both established companies and new entrepreneurial concepts
• Gradually take responsibility for larger areas of analysis as experience develops
Over time, the successful candidate will move beyond simply collecting information and become increasingly involved in interpreting findings, developing conclusions, and contributing to business recommendations.
AI-Assisted Research & Productivity
The professional use of Artificial Intelligence tools is an important part of the role.
The successful candidate should already be familiar with tools such as:
• ChatGPT
• Gemini
• Microsoft Copilot
• Other relevant AI research and productivity tools
AI tools may be used to support:
• Research
• Benchmarking
• Information comparison
• Organization of large volumes of information
• Hypothesis development
• Report preparation
• Presentation preparation
• Analytical support
• Personal productivity
The company is not looking for a developer or technical AI specialist.
Instead, the ideal candidate should view AI as a daily professional tool while maintaining the critical thinking required to evaluate, verify, and challenge AI-generated information.
Requirements
• Approximately 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in research, analysis, consulting, commercial analysis, marketing analysis, consumer insights, business development support, or a similar role
• Candidates with less experience may be considered where they demonstrate strong internships, academic projects, analytical ability, and high potential
• Master's degree is required
• Relevant Master's degrees may include Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, International Business, or a related business discipline
• An MBA is not specifically required
• Good foundation in market research and business research
• Ability to identify and evaluate reliable sources
• Good understanding of data processing and analysis
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to organize and present findings clearly
• Strong information synthesis skills
• Basic understanding of business and commercial concepts
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken
• Familiarity with ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or similar AI tools
• Ability to use AI for professional research and productivity while critically evaluating the quality of its output
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Genuine interest in how businesses operate and grow
• Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to research unfamiliar topics
• Methodical and structured working approach
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to receive and apply feedback
• Genuine commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Professional, responsible, reliable, and ambitious attitude
The successful candidate should demonstrate genuine curiosity about questions such as:
• Who is the customer?
• What need does the business address?
• How does the company generate revenue?
• What are its main costs?
• Why do customers choose it?
• Who are its competitors?
• How can it grow?
• What are the main risks affecting the business?
The candidate does not need to know every answer immediately. What matters is having the ability and motivation to research, analyze, and understand the answer.
The company is particularly interested in a candidate whose reaction to an unfamiliar subject is:
“I want to understand it, so I will research it.”
This position is not intended for senior consultants, managers, experienced project managers, franchise experts, or professionals with 5–10 years of experience.
Profiles focused exclusively on administration, social media, communications, graphic design, or purely execution-based responsibilities without a meaningful analytical component are also unlikely to match the position.
What the Company Offers
• Net monthly salary of €1,200–€1,400, depending on experience, academic background, skills, and overall potential
• A genuine junior-level opportunity designed around learning and professional development
• Clear potential to gradually develop into a strong Business Consultant
• Hands-on experience in market research, business analysis, commercial analysis, business planning, and consulting projects
• Exposure to different industries and business models rather than specialization in a single sector from the beginning of the candidate's career
• Opportunity to work across sectors including:
- Food & Beverage
- Retail
- Real Estate
- Services
- Tourism
- Education
- Consumer Services
- Organized business networks
- Emerging business concepts
- International projects
• Exposure to both large and established organizations and new entrepreneurial concepts
• Opportunity to support companies exploring new growth models in Greece and internationally
• Opportunity to contribute to projects involving franchising, corporate networks, and alternative business expansion models
• In selected projects, the opportunity to participate in the development of a new business model and follow its evolution in practice
• Development of analytical, commercial, presentation, research, and consulting capabilities
• Extensive practical use of modern AI tools for research and professional productivity
• The opportunity to gradually take on greater analytical responsibility and contribute more actively to conclusions and recommendations
The company is not looking to simply acquire ready-made experience.
It is looking to invest in analytical foundations, thinking ability, intellectual curiosity, learning capacity, and professional potential.
