We are looking for a Junior IT Systems Administrator to join our IT Department in our Head Offices in Nicosia.
 

JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Junior IT Systems Administrator role is to support the effective operation, security, and reliability of the company’s IT infrastructure. The position assists in maintaining servers, networks, security systems, databases, and Microsoft 365 environments to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations.

The role includes helping to apply IT policies and procedures, supporting continuous improvements, and ensuring alignment with security and operational best practices. The Junior IT Systems Administrator will assist in monitoring network and security infrastructure, applying updates and improvements under guidance, and supporting basic security checks and testing activities to help strengthen protocols and controls.

The individual will be trained on the ERP system and will provide first-line support to end users as required. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments, external service providers, and the IT Manager to support system availability, data integrity, and compliance with IT standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Junior IT Systems Administrator will be reporting to the IT Manager and will be expected to:

• Assist in administering and maintaining Active Directory while supporting management of accurate access rights, permissions and authentication controls. 
• Assist in maintaining network security policies and configurations. 
• Support the review and improvement of security protocols and monitor network activity and report any irregularities. 
• Identify vulnerabilities and apply corrective actions upon approval of the IT Manager. 
• Support the administration of Microsoft 365  accounts, licenses, groups and system configurators while assisting in applying updates, patches and configuration changes. 
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining firewalls. 
• Support firewall rule reviews and implement approved changes. 
• Will be developed to be able to support security tests, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments. 
• Be an active participant, advocate, and technical contributor in IT-related projects and initiatives.
• Assist in system upgrades, migrations and infrastructure enhancements. 
• Collaborate with different teams and departments to support the rollout of new tools and processes. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field. 
• 1- 3 years of related work experience. 
• Experience in Microsoft products. 
• Experience in ERP systems will be considered an advantage. 
• Experience in web development coding language will be considered as advantage. 
• Strong sense of business ethics. 
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, determination, and high levels of personal and organisational achievement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Demonstrate good teamwork and respect. 
• Good command of Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
