Junior Lawyer

SCORDIS, PAPAPETROU & Co is looking to recruit a motivated and dedicated junior lawyer to join its experienced and successful Corporate team of lawyers at its Nicosia office.

SCORDIS, PAPAPETROU & Co is a multi-discipline group that includes the well-known and reputable law firm, SCORDIS, PAPAPETROU & Co LLC, a Corporate Services arm as well as other affiliates, providing services to clients both in Cyprus and worldwide. The Law Firm has a history of over 100 years of practice and expertise, and its team comprises over 30 advocates and legal consultants, 15 inhouse qualified professionals of related disciplines and 50 paralegal, administrative and other personnel with offices in Nicosia, Limassol, Athens and the UAE.

The Role

Engagement (alone or as a member of a team) in various Corporate law matters and projects, including:

·        Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, with local or cross-border elements.

·        Providing legal advice and support on issues of Company law.

·        Drafting minutes, resolutions, authorisations, statutory documentation and other legal documents

·        Undertaking legal due diligence of transactions or counter-parties

·        Meeting and communicating with clients, counterparties, and their advisors.

·        Participating in statutory or other meetings of private and public companies (including minute           

         taking).

·        Advising companies on their CySEC and CSE reporting and other obligations, reviewing and drafting            annual reports, announcements and other documents.

·        Advisory on, or review of, AML / Sanctions / other Regulatory matters.

What We Are Looking For

·        Law degree from a reputable academic institution.

·        Academic Excellence

·        At least three (3) years of experience in corporate law post qualification as a member of the Cyprus            Bar Association

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a variety of complex issues simultaneously               under strict deadlines and pressure.

·        Adherence to high professional standards and work ethics.

·        Excellent command of Greek and English, both spoken and written.

·        Excellent knowledge of MS Office and search tools.
