Job Description

THOMASON Machinery Ltd is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join its team and support the design, production and testing of machinery. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your engineering skills alongside an experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of machinery, mechanical assemblies and individual components.
• Prepare and update manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and bills of materials under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist in developing and implementing machine designs and test procedures.
• Prepare machine documentation, instruction manuals and technical reports.
• Support the assessment of project requirements, including raw materials and components.
• Assist with machine and product costing.
• Support stores operations, including stock monitoring and material availability for production.
• Assist with day-to-day factory operations and production coordination.
• Support the production and assembly teams with drawings and technical information.
• Assist in resolving mechanical issues during manufacturing and assembly.
• Participate in machine testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D CAD software. Experience with SolidWorks will be considered an advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
• Interest in machinery design, manufacturing and practical engineering.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel in Cyprus and abroad.
• Previous relevant work experience will be considered an advantage. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
