Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to lead FirePro’s logistics, exports, imports, and shipment coordination activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods, maintaining compliance with international shipping and dangerous goods requirements, coordinating with internal departments and external logistics partners, and supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and coordinate daily logistics, exports, imports, order preparation, and shipment activities.
· Ensure timely preparation and delivery of customer orders in coordination with Sales, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Finance.
· Prepare, review, and coordinate shipping documentation, including delivery notes, export documents, certificates, customs documentation, and dangerous goods declarations.
· Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, carriers, customers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers to secure reliable and cost-effective transport solutions.
· Monitor freight costs, lead times, shipment status, and logistics performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
· Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international shipping requirements, export controls, dangerous goods transport requirements, and internal procedures.
· Lead, support, and develop the logistics team, ensuring clear communication, workload coordination, and strong collaboration.
· Resolve shipment issues, customs delays, documentation discrepancies, and urgent logistics challenges in a timely and professional manner.
· Contribute to business continuity planning, operational risk mitigation, and supply chain resilience initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Shipping, or other related field.
- Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, experience with ERP systems, i.e., SAP Business One is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international shipping documentation, DG declarations, certificates of origin, export controls, and trade compliance.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to details.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and spoken.
- A Valid IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training certificate will be considered an advantage.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm with one hour lunch break.
