The Island Private School is launching a 100M EUR state-of-the-art campus in Limassol. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our development department. You will be on-site supervising diversified aspects of the ongoing construction, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. What will you do?
As our Site Engineer, you will be the driving force on the ground. You will bridge the gap between engineering designs and physical reality. Your daily focus will center on driving efficiency, maintaining elite safety protocols, and ensuring structural perfection. You will collaborate directly with top-tier consultants and contractors to deliver this landmark project on time and within budget.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a qualified professional who combines rigorous technical expertise with strong leadership skills. You should possess an analytical mindset capable of interpreting complex technical data and a proactive attitude toward risk management. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will serve as a key point of contact for diverse stakeholders.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily site works to ensure execution aligns with timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with guidelines, permits, public authorities, and Health & Safety (H&S) plans.
- Technical Analysis: Interpret engineering drawings, survey reports, and technical documentation to control the construction process.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor the approved program and report updates, milestones, and potential risks to the Project Manager.
- Resource Management: Oversee allocated materials, equipment, and workforce efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Confirm all materials and works meet exact technical specifications and lead site testing activities.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential delays or cost overruns early and update the project Risk Register.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate seamlessly with the Project Manager, main contractor, quantity surveyors, and discipline consultants (Architect, Structural, MEP).
- Financial Verification: Verify monthly evaluations and progress claims submitted by the main contractor.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer, Civil Engineer, or equivalent construction role.
- Project Management: Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and managing structural site works.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, regulations, and QA/QC processes.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard engineering/scheduling software.
- Teamwork: Exceptional ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.
- Attributes: High attention to detail and sharp problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent English
Bonus Skills/Experience
- Fluency in additional languages such as Greek, Russian, or Ukrainian.
