About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while adhering to company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms, including pricing, delivery, and quality of products.
• Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and obtain the best value for products and services.
• Purchase Orders: Review requisition requests, generate purchase orders, and monitor approval processes.
• Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, ensuring necessary materials and products are available to meet business needs.
• Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and government regulations.
• Cost Reduction: Develop strategies to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
• Reporting: Prepare procurement reports for management and other stakeholders.
• Risk Management: Mitigate potential supply chain risks and delays through effective planning.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Languages: Sinhalese and/or Tamil & English (mandatory)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Technical Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
