Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Registered General Nurse or hold a degree in Nursing (preferred) or Advanced First Aid Certification, fluency in the English Language and relevant experience of working with children if possible.

 

Additional description·

• Attend to the needs of pupils’ and staff health and wellbeing.
• Implement and maintain policies regarding medical conditions e.g. administration of medications.
• Ability to submit Medical data on School MIS system, send emails, complete digital forms and excel spreadsheets.
• Support and instruct teaching staff with regards to medical conditions of pupils.
• Provide care to pupils requiring first aid / are unwell / have established medical conditions.
• Oversee and support preparation of events and school trips with regards to medical conditions of pupils and first aid requirements.
• Prepare for and provide first aid for events such as Sports Day.
• Contribute to health promotion issues / campaigns e.g. head lice / PSHE (as directed).
• Maintain up to date, confidential medical records regarding pupils’ health.
• Assist the Administration to collaborate with the Ministry of Health if required e.g. vaccination coverage / other health matters.
• Make sure that medical records are collected, stored, used and transmitted/passed on in accordance with GDPR. This applies to both paper and digital records.
