Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit & Accounting services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining proper accounting books and records daily, as well as preparing quarterly VAT statements and informing the client about any payment/refundable VAT. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field, and holders of the LCCI Higher accounting certification are encouraged to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th Salary, and Provident Fund. Working hours are from 07:30 - 14:30 3 days per week, and until 17:30 twice per week.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Preparation of the accounting records on behalf of clients.
• Carrying out Bank, Creditors and Debtors reconciliations.
• Entering accounting entries in the accounting software.
• Preparing quarterly VAT statements and informing clients about any payment/refundable VAT.
• Talking to clients to provide information and/or questions for the correct entry of the accounting records.
• Entering corrective entries after the audit by the audit department.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is desirable.
• Holders of the LCCI Higher, or another other relevant accounting certification are encouraged to apply.
• Approximately 4+ years of experience in a relevant accounting and bookkeeping role. 
• Sound knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Able to work well independently, and as part of a Team.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and written.
